Eleanor Payne, the Veronica E. Middle School vice principal credited with saving a 10-year-old student’s life by performing CPR, is being honored for her heroic deed.
The Buffalo Niagara Division of the American Heart Association will present Payne with a Heartsaver Hero Award Monday. Three others, William Brodie, Margaret Cammarano and Barbara Nolan, who assisted in the lifesaving rescue, will also be recognized with awards.
The awards will be given at Monday’s Board of Education Meeting at the middle school, 1100 Ransom Road, at 7:30 p.m.
