Ronald S. Wargo, retired analyst for Moog, Navy veteran

Ronald S. Wargo of Hamburg, a retired Moog employee, died Monday in Mercy Hospital.

He was 77.

Born in Buffalo, he was a 1953 graduate of Bishop Timon High School and also attended the University of Buffalo. Mr. Wargo served in the Navy during the Korean War aboard the ARS-42 Reclaimer in the South Pacific.

He worked for Sylvania and Bell Aerospace before starting at Moog as a technical writer in 1977.

Mr. Wargo was eventually promoted to senior technical writer and retired as an integrated logistics support analyst in 2001.

He also taught religious studies and traveled to nearly all 50 states in the U.S. Mr. Wargo was both an Eagle Scout and Boy Scout leader.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Lucy Miranda; two sons, Ronald and Robert; a daughter, Beth; and a brother, Stephen.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Orchard Park.
