Branden Oliver ran for 216 yards and a touchdown as Buffalo routed UMass 32-3 for its fifth straight win.
Oliver broke the school’s record for career rushing yards, surpassing the previous mark set by James Starks. Oliver now has 3,203 career yards.
Buffalo (5-2, 3-0 Mid-American) scored twice on defense, the first coming on a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown by Khalil Mack in the second quarter. Buffalo also scored on a safety late in the third to extend its lead to 18-3. Buffalo then added two touchdowns in the fourth, scoring on a 7-yard pass from Joe Licata to Fred Lee and a 5-yard run by Oliver.
