Demonstrations of a stove fire and a car accident rescue will be featured at Saturday’s Fire Prevention Open House, hosted by the Cleveland Hill Fire Department in Cheektowaga.

The open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 440 Cleveland Drive. The stove fire and accident rescues are scheduled for 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., respectively.

Other activities will include a landing by the Mercy Flight helicopter, face painting and the New York State Police car rollover simulator. Instruction will be provided for hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Numerous fire departments throughout the area are hosting open houses for National Fire Prevention Week, which officially was observed Oct. 6 to 12.
