Heroin seized in a Niagara County traffic stop

WHEATFIELD – An off-duty border patrol agent alerted police when he saw a man and woman smoking marijuana as they were driving and smelled the odor of the drug as he drove behind them on Tuesday on River Road.

Niagara County sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle on Williams Road just before 4 p.m. and seized 19 various narcotic tablets, 43 suspected packets of heroin and a white powder substance which was not identified.

The driver Sean M. Reed Jr., 25, of Amy Drive, Niagara Falls and passenger, Amanda M. Camidge, 18, of Panama Avenue were charged with third criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession with intent to sell. Both were arraigned in the Town of Wheatfield and Reed was held on $10,000 bail and Camidge on $2,000.
