NIAGARA FALLS - Police found a man covered in blood and reportedly in pain who said he was beaten and robbed by two men in the alley between Whirlpool and Cedar avenues on Wednesday, just after midnight.

The 24-year-old victim said the two men jumped out and struck him with a metal object and then went into his pocket and took his wallet which contained his identification and $20. He said he briefly lost consciousness and when he woke up the two were gone.

The man was able to walk home and was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
