A traffic stop in Elma early Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a Buffalo resident on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Scott LaDuca, 35, was pulled over on Seneca Street, near Jamison Road, at about 1 a.m. for speeding and failure to maintain lane, deputies reported. A breath test revealed that LaDuca had a blood-alcohol content of 0.14.

The DWI charge is a felony because LaDuca had a previous drunken driving-related conviction during the past 10 years, deputies said. He also was charged with vehicle and traffic violations.

LaDuca was released on tickets to appear in Elma Town Court.
