Alpha Sigma Tau, Buffalo Alumnae Chapter will hold a fundraiser Thursday at Friendly’s Restaurant, 4350 Maple Road, Amherst.

A portion of meal proceeds will be donated to the sorority to benefit its educational and philanthropic endeavors.

A voucher is required and may be obtained from AST members for the all-day event. There also will be a basket raffle during the dinner hours. Contact Nicole Ball at: for information.


Northtowns Christian Women will have its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 23 in Classics V restaurant, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

The special feature will be a shopping spree regifting event, and special guest speaker Candi Johnson will share “A Story for All Seasons.” The cost is $17. For information or reservations, call Kathy at 874-0109 or Grace at 836-7064.


Laureate Alpha Kappa will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Amherst home of Evelyn Valetich. Co-hostess will be Donna Torrisi. The group will discuss the recently concluded NYS Beta Sigma Phi convention, which was held in Cooperstown.

Members will attend a brunch at noon Oct. 27 in Club Italia, 2525 Montrose Road, Niagara Falls. Ont. Attendees are asked to dress in costumes from 1950 through 1980.

The chapter is in charge of a birthday banquet that will be held at noon Nov. 16 at Westwood Country Club. Members are asked to collect pop can tab tops for Ronald McDonald House.
