Collins doesn’t care about average person

Rep. Chris Collins is more concerned with pleasing Republican Party leaders like House Speaker John Boehner and Sen. Ted Cruz than representing his constituents in Western New York.

While the other members of the Western York New congressional delegation work to resolve the shutdown crisis and focus on the needs of those most seriously affected by the shutdown, Collins blithely comments that it could take up to three weeks to resolve without recognizing the impact on thousands of Western New Yorkers and the local economy. His insensitivity to the impact of his toeing the party line on citizens’ lives is sadly reminiscent of the slash-and-burn tactics he used as county executive to cut programs to the county’s most needy citizens.
