Orchard Park High School student and color guard member Danielle Dowling has been chosen to take part in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band which will perform during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Danielle is one of four students selected in New York State.

The band has 125 band and color guard members and 90 football players who will participate in the game Jan. 4, 2014.

Stephanie Fasolino of Orchard Park has been awarded the 13th annual Academy of Finance scholarship by Repp Construction. Fasolino, who was a member of the Academy of Finance at Orchard Park Central High School, is attending Canisius College. Her interest in business began when she took Career and Financial Management in eighth grade.

Orchard Fresh, 4050 N. Buffalo Road, has received the September Business Community Beautification Award from the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce.

The property was chosen in recognition of its enhancement of the Orchard Park business community. Benderson Development, owner of the Orchard Fresh Plaza, created a new facade, as well as updated landscaping, lighting and improvements to the parking lot, while the market added a vestibule to its storefront.

Also this week:

• The School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the administrative building, 2240 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca. The board is expected to go into executive session and reopen the meeting to the public at 7 p.m.

• The town Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the basement meeting room of the municipal center, 4295 S. Buffalo St.
