Viola M. Rosner, managed husband’s medical office

Viola M. Rosner, who managed her husband’s medical office for many years, died Sept. 21 in the Town of Tonawanda home she and her husband had built in 1962. She was 87.

Mrs. Rosner was born in Willoughby, Ohio, and moved to Buffalo as a child. She graduated from Hutchinson-Central High School.

She was the receptionist, secretary and bookkeeper for 25 years in the medical practice run by her husband, the late Dr. Edward W. Rosner.

She was active in the Women’s Rotary as well as the Women’s Guild, and for 25 years was a member of the women’s meditation group at Church of the Nativity, United Church of Christ.

An avid dancer, she also was very active in the Western New York Round Dancing community, and she helped organize the annual retreat to the National Round Dancing Convention in various cities in the United States.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Ruby and Betsy; and a son, Paul.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Church of the Nativity, 1530 Colvin Blvd., Town of Tonawanda.
