Bills quarterback EJ Manuel was injured during Thursday’s game in FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.

Bills quarterback EJ Manuel injured the lateral-collateral ligament in his right knee and will miss a few weeks, according to Bills coach Doug Marrone.

The injury occurred in the second half of the Bills’ 37-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night.

The lateral-collateral ligament runs from top to bottom along the outside of the knee.

Marrone said the Bills will bring in another quarterback.

Jeff Tuel, who finished Thursday’s game, is a “possibility” to start against the Bengals, Marrone said. The Bills’ coach did not rule out the possibility of a current free agent starting Oct. 13 when the Bills return to action against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Marrone also said wideout Stevie Johnson’s back injury is not considered serious. He is not expected to miss any time.
