LOCKPORT – State Police charged a Lockport woman with taking 11 checks from a Wilson woman and cashing them at a local bank, taking a total of $3,400 from the victim. The victim said she started noticing that the checks were missing and being cashed without her permission.

Stephanie A. Jones, 26, of Church Street was charged with third-degree grand larceny and 11 counts of second-degree criminal impersonation.

Jones was arraigned before Town of Lockport Justice Leonard G. Tilney Jr. and released without bail.

A return court date was set for Oct. 10.
