Faulty equipment tips off police to felony DWI arrest in Cassadaga

CASSADAGA – A Stockton man was charged late Sunday with felony DWI after he was pulled over on Putnam Road for faulty license-plate lamps, state police at Fredonia said.

Michael R. Brown, 42, of Bowers Road, who was driving with a revoked license, according to police, posted a blood-alcohol level of .12 percent, troopers said.

In addition, an open container of vodka was found in Brown’s vehicle, which was not equipped with an ignition interlock device as required, troopers added.
