A parolee faces up to 35 years in prison for a string of downtown office burglaries earlier this year, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Brian Humphrey, 48, no address given, pleaded guilty to five counts of third-degree burglary.

Humphrey took a purse from a Main Street consulting company in March; a laptop from a Franklin Street law office in May; a purse from a Delaware Avenue law office in May; laptop computers from a Niagara Square law office in June; and a jar of loose change from a Main Street advertising agency in June, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Humphrey had been released on parole in February for a previous burglary conviction, according to the state Division of Parole.

He is scheduled to be sentenced by Erie County Judge Thomas P. Franczyk on Nov. 1.
