Touring in support of the late spring release of his 14th studio album, “Unstoppable Momentum,” Joe Satriani swings by the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts in Amherst at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. For this tour, Satriani – a storied virtuoso and always a vibrant performer – has assembled an all-star ensemble comprising former Frank Zappa band member and storied multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Mike Kenneally, bassist Bryan Beller and iconic drummer Marco Minnemann, who was last in the area as a member of Steven Wilson’s band. As if this lineup wasn’t enough to satisfy the desires of fans of serious instrumental music, support for Satriani will be provided by another six-string legend, Deep Purple/Dixie Dregs picker Steve Morse and his band.

Tickets are $31-$64 (box office,
