Town of Tonawanda man pleads in sex abuse case

A 33-year-old Town of Tonawanda man has pleaded guilty to charges that he took pornographic photographs of two girls under the age of 11 and subjected both girls to sexual contact with a sexual device, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

Shawn McIntosh of Parkhurst Boulevard pleaded guilty to four counts of use of a child in a sexual performance, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the prosecutor’s office.

These are the highest charges for which he could have been convicted had he gone to trial, and he faces up to 50 years in prison when sentenced Nov. 1 in Erie County Court, according to the office.

The incidents occurred from September 2011 through January 2012.
