A former member of the Camp Street Boys gang was sentenced Thursday by Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny to five years in prison for cocaine trafficking.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch said Tramell McGee, 30, sold crack cocaine around Jefferson Avenue and Genesee Street.

McGee was arrested along with 10 others in June of 2011. So far, eight of the 10 defendants have been convicted.

His sentencing is the result of an investigation by the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
