A state prison inmate has been charged with attacking a sleeping inmate at the Wyoming Correctional Facility in June, resulting in severe injuries, State Police in Warsaw announced this week.
Terrick Terrell, 19, who’s serving time for a robbery conviction out of Kings County, was charged earlier this month with felony counts of assault, promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a weapon.
Troopers said Terrell used a “lock in a sock,” typically a combination lock from the prisoner’s locker placed in a sock, to attack a fellow inmate at the medium-security prison in Attica. The name of the victim wasn’t released.
Following arraignment in Wyoming County Court, Terrell was transferred to the Orleans Correctional Facility, another medium-security prison, in Albion.
