Fashions Outlets issues removed from agenda

TOWN OF NIAGARA – Actions to approve an environmental quality study of the proposed expansion at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara were removed from the Town Board’s meeting agenda at the last minute Tuesday.

Supervisor Steven Richards told the Town Board he was taking the five resolutions related to the expansion off the agenda because of “loose ends” he was told about at 3 p.m. that day.

He later explained that the mall owners, Macerich, needed to sign a cross-easement agreement with Benderson Development to allow access through property occupied by Walmart, next to the mall.

The board will hold a special meeting to address the state environmental quality review study at 7 p.m. Oct. 1.

Also on the agenda for that meeting is the presentation of the 2014 town budget.
