A Buffalo teenager was arrested after Town of Tonawanda police say he injured a police officer in a scuffle at Fright World haunted house on Eggert Road.

The incident started at 10 p.m. Friday, when police officers Ryan Taber and Mark Muscoreil tried to get an identification from a girl who had been yelling profanities at them, according to a police statement.

Fright World is at 2309 Eggert Road, off Sheridan Drive, in a former Office Depot.

The girl’s 16-year-old brother, a Johnson Street resident, then tried to grab Muscoreil from behind, prompting the scuffle that led to Taber’s injury.

Police did not provide details about the officer’s injury.

The teenager, whose name was not released, faces assault, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration charges. After his arraignment in Tonawanda Town Court, he was committed to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
