Police arrested a 24-year-old Sinclairville man early Saturday after he crashed and rolled over his car on Pickard Road.

The vehicle was in flames when the man, who was already wanted for a violation of the terms of his probation from a previous incident, fled the scene, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies reported.

Deputies and State Police tracked down Christopher E. Dellahoy with help from a K-9 unit dog, and then used a Taser gun to subdue Dellahoy when he fought with police, authorities said.

Dellahoy crashed his car in Ellery about 1:40 a.m., rolling over the vehicle. By the time deputies got to the crash, he had fled, according to police. Aided by a police dog, deputies and troopers tracked Dellahoy to a location on Route 380 in the Town of Stockton, where he was arrested after allegedly fighting with police.

He is charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and various traffic infractions. Deputies said they took Dellahoy to the county jail in Mayville.
