Constance A. Trzepacz, former Town of Elma assessor

Constance A. Trzepacz of West Seneca, a former Town of Elma assessor and elementary school teacher, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 60.

Born Constance Masten in Washington, D.C., she had lived in this area since she was nine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Buffalo.

A former resident of Orchard Park, Mrs. Trzepacz had worked a decade in the Town of Elma assessor’s office, including several years as the assessor. She also had worked as an elementary school teacher in various parochial schools in the early 1980s and early 2000s. She was in the process of earning a master’s degree in teaching when she was disabled in a 1998 car accident.

She was a past president, and life member, of Spring Brook Volunteer Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Donald Jr.; a daughter, Jennifer Dietz; her former husband, Donald Sr.; and two sisters, Carolyn McCooey and Kathryn Bindig.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. today in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 5271 Clinton St., Elma.
