LOCKPORT – Wayne F. Jones Jr., who said he is one semester short of a college degree in communications, pleaded guilty Friday to selling crack cocaine, and was assigned to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas said Jones’ plea will be reduced to a misdemeanor or dismissed if he does well in treatment, but otherwise he risks up to nine years in state prison.

Jones, 31, of 37th Street, Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for the Jan. 2 drug deal in the Falls.
