BATAVIA – Nearly 200 high school students from Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties will get insights on careers in agriculture and related fields at the second annual Harvest Festival and Farmers’ Market Oct. 10 at Genesee Community College.

During the daylong program, students will hear presentations by veterinarian Dr. Jerry Bertoldo, beekeeper Jim Doan, vegetable specialist Christy Hoepting, entomologist Mike Stanyard and dairy specialist Tristan Zuber.

Nearly 20 programs and organizations will offer displays and information in GCC’s Forum. Farmers’ Market vendors with local produce and crafts will be set up in the Forum from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For information, call (585) 343-0055, Ext. 6316.
