LOCKPORT – James Williamson, who drove the getaway car for one of the convenience store robberies committed last year by Paul J. Schubert of Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty to third-degree robbery Thursday in Niagara County Court.

Williamson, 25, of Vandervoort Street, North Tonawanda, is to be sentenced Nov. 7 by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said Williamson took part in a holdup at a 7-Eleven on Plaza Drive in Wheatfield on Sept. 3, 2012.

Schubert, 22, was suspected in six robberies. He pleaded guilty to two, and is serving up to 15 years in state prison.
