One man went to the hospital and another to jail following a fight outside a West Seneca apartment complex, town police reported today.

Officer Cheri McParlane was dispatched to Forrestal Avenue at about 4 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a report of a fight. An argument between Bryan A. McMillan, 26, and Joseph P. Noworyta, 24, ended with McMillan stabbing Noworyta, police said.

Noworyta, who was stabbed in the left side of his back, suffered a collapsed lung and internal injuries, according to police. He was treated at Erie County Medical Center.

McMillan, who was found inside his apartment, was charged with felony counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said the knife he used was found hidden in a shoe in a common hallway.

Following arraignment before Town Justice Jeffrey Harrington, McMillan was sent to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.
