Bulletin Board for Sept. 10

The 2013 Buffalo International Horse Show will be held Wednesday through Sunday at the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center, 950 Amherst Street, in Buffalo. The event will host hundreds of entries over five days, including the $3,000 USHJA 3-foot National Hunter Derby Classic event on Saturday evening.

The public is welcome to attend. Admission is free at all times, with the exception of the Friday and Saturday evening championship events, and tickets may be purchased at the gate for $5 per person.


Former Buffalo Bills greats Andre Reed, Joe DeLamielleure and Joe Ferguson will be on hand to sign autographs during “Buzzcon” Friday and Saturday at Eastern Hills Mall. The event will also feature sports memorabilia and other special events. Event hours are 5-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Visit www.shopeasternhills.com.


BASEBALL: Wheatfield Elite Travel 10U and 9U tryouts will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at American Legion Post 1565. Contact Scott Cooper 946-9942. … The AnJo Bombers 9U, 10U and 11U travel teams will hold open tryouts Saturday at 11 a.m. at the New Era complex. For 9U contact Mike at 207-9779. BASKETBALL: The WNY Board of women’s officials will conduct a training course for new candidates starting Sept. 17. Call 874-8500 to enroll.

HOCKEY: HockeyBuff is seeking teams for its senior intermediate league that plays Sunday evenings at the Amherst Northtown Center. The league is open to experienced players 21 and over. The season will begins Oct. 6. Call 598-9858.

SOCCER: Girls interested in playing for the Jamestown Elite AAU program should email or call Ken Ricker. Jamestown Elite will have girls teams from grades 3-11.
