Opponents of SAFE Act are not going to give up
A few weeks ago, I saw a “Repeal the SAFE Act” sign posted on someone’s front lawn. Now they are everywhere. Talk about a grass-roots campaign! When our illustrious representatives in Albany illegally passed the law in the dark of night without the required three-day waiting period to obtain feedback from their constituents, I guess they thought it was over. Guess again.
An interesting observation is that in many cases the front lawns are also adorned with political posters, representing Democrats and Republicans alike.
This November should also prove to be interesting. We all know how our representatives voted. This should prove to be another election where everyone will hear the thunder of the silent majority.
