Falls man caught in drug raid denies charges

LOCKPORT – A man accused of having cocaine, marijuana and psychiatric pills when police raided his apartment on March 28 pleaded not guilty to a five-count indictment Friday in Niagara County Court.

Nicholas J. Rubino, 24, of Hyde Park Boulevard, Niagara Falls, is charged with third-, fifth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; unlawful possession of marijuana; and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a digital scale.

He is accused of planning to sell 1.11 grams of cocaine and also of having Xanax pills in the apartment. County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas jailed Rubino in lieu of $2,000 bail.
