Liz Johnson’s run in the USBC Queens Tournament at Sunset Station in Henderson, Nev., is over.

The Cheektowaga bowling veteran, trying to reach the stepladder finals out of the elimination bracket, opened play with a resounding win over Catherine Rawsthorne, 724-519 but fell in her next match to Danielle McEwan, 697-642.

Johnson, a past Queens Tournament champion and three-time U.S. Women’s Open champ who lost in the second round of match play Tuesday, was fourth in qualifying with 3,341 pins.
