Where We Live: Clarence

Clarence’s concerned constituents will have an opportunity to eat with and greet their locally elected public representatives Saturday at a continental style breakfast meeting sponsored by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce.

The event, billed as a legislative breakfast, is scheduled for 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the WBBZ-TV Studio in the Eastern Hills Mall, Transit Road, Clarence. Several state, county and town officials are scheduled to appear.

From the state Legislature, state Sen. Michael Ranzenhofer and Assemblywoman Jane Corwin are set to be on hand. Representatives from Erie County will include County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz, County Clerk Chris Jacobs and County Legislator Edward Rath of Amherst. Clarence Town Supervisor David Hartzell Jr. also is among those invited to attend.

According to the organizers of the breakfast, it is intended to provide a forum for elected officials, the town’s business community and its residents to meet with each other and their locally elected representatives, who will answer prepared questions.

The cost to attend the breakfast is $5.
