LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man was sentenced Friday to four years in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl last year.

Thomas R. Murray II, 38, of 87th Street, had pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse for the Dec. 11 incident, in which he allegedly forced the girl into sex acts by choking her and threatening her with a piece of glass.

Murray attributed the incident to heavy drinking. Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas said many men get drunk but don’t commit sex crimes as a result.
