Buffalo Promise Neighborhood has received grants totaling $90,000 for its Children’s Academy, a center for youngsters age 5 and younger, which will open for the upcoming school year.

The 10,000-square-foot academy, which will serve about 150 children, will be on Westminster Avenue across from Westminster Community Charter School and will be operated by Buffalo Promise Neighborhood and Bethel Head Start. Funding was provided by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and the HealthNow Healthy Living Fund. Part of the funding will cover construction costs.
