Superintendent needs to get priorities in order

Let me get this straight. The Buffalo Public Schools are in crisis and Superintendent Pamela Brown delays a meeting with state education officials in Albany so that she can listen to the president speak about education. And please don’t say she couldn’t pass up the offer. I’m sure I’m not the only one walking around, shaking my head.

But what this does tell me is that the superintendent is pretty self-serving. She left town previously while all this was going on and when questioned, her response was that she was “in contact with the board.”

Her “leadership” skills amaze me! Maybe she needs to think of the children first. She and Mayor Byron Brown must be from the same mold. Thank goodness Carl Paladino got elected to the School Board. Maybe he can turn some things around, instead of politics as usual.
