Canisius men’s basketball coach Jim Baron has named former Golden Griffin Chuck Harris as the school’s director of men’s basketball operations.

Harris played 115 for the Golden Griffins from 2003 to 2007, scoring 1,090 points and adding 555 rebounds and 32 assists. Harris replaces Mike Iuzzolino, who left for a similar position at New Mexico.

Harris will be responsible for handling the team’s day-to-day operations, which includes practice set-up, team travel plans, video film exchange, opponent breakdown and scouting reports, while overseeing academic progress for the team’s student-athletes. He will also be director for the Jim Baron Summer Basketball Camps and will assist with the administration of the team camp and elite player camp, held annually in the Koessler Athletic Center.
