Hamburg Central School Board members have set tax rates for the coming year for the $33.51 million tax levy.

Hamburg residents will pay $33.91 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, an increase of 6 percent or $1.92 per $1,000. The rate for Orchard Park is $34.50, up 91 cents or 2.6 percent; Boston, $19.86, up 38 cents or 1.9 percent; and Eden, $29.80 per $1,000, up 73 cents or 2.4 percent.

In the Village of Hamburg, Village Board members have approved design standards for new signs for several new businesses, including Fancy That at 1 Buffalo St., Fluffy Puppy at 189 Buffalo St., Subway at 349 Buffalo St., and Magnum Vapor at 81 Main St.

Also this week:

• The Hamburg Village Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Village Hall, 100 Main St.

• The Blasdell Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant, 3785 South Park Ave.

• Hamburg Middle School’s Sixth Grade schedule and locker day has been changed to Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

• The Hamburg Farmer’s market is open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the municipal parking lot between Main and Union streets.
