LE ROY – The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and state police were summoned to a fight that led to one person being stabbed in the back at 2 a.m. Saturday.

Edward D. McDonald, 24, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and Nicole M. DellaPenna, 27, with second-degree felony assault and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was being held in Genesee County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. Both live at the same South Street address, authorities said.

DellaPenna is accused of stabbing the victim, who was not identified, in the back near the shoulder blade. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening stab wounds, deputies said.
