Cambria man admits to attacking woman

LOCKPORT – A Cambria man pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court Friday to a charge of violating a restraining order by roughing up a woman March 12.

Robert G. Holmes, 32, of Upper Mountain Road, admitted to first-degree criminal contempt and was scheduled for sentencing Nov. 1 by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas. He could receive up to four years in prison.

The woman allegedly suffered bruises and other visible injuries in the incident in Holmes’ home. The order of protection had been issued by Lockport City Judge William J. Watson in January 2012.
