CHARLOTTE – A 51-year-old Sinclairville man was arrested Wednesday here by Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies on assault and harassment charges for allegedly injuring a man during an altercation Tuesday evening on Main Street in the Village of Sinclairville.

Authorities said Angelo Spicola Jr. grabbed the victim, held him down and spit in his face. He also caused an injury to the man’s ribs, according to sheriff’s officials.

After being arraigned in Charlotte Town Court , Spicola was released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings. His victim sought medical treatment for the rib injury.
