A man convicted of grand larceny for stealing over $80,000 in sales tax revenue from New York State was sentenced to five years of probation and a restitution order of $24,000, Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III announced Tuesday.

Shlaine Freeland, 41, of Goulding Avenue in Buffalo, will be required to make monthly payments of $200 for 10 years, authorities said. He was accused of evading sales tax between 2008 and 2012 while he owned a used car dealership at 779 Genesee Street, according to Sedita.
