President Obama’s visit to Buffalo and other upstate cities will cause temporary traffic delays along the Thruway on Thursday and Friday, state officials said.

At certain times, motorists may be unable to enter the interstate at some interchanges, or unable to re-enter from Thruway service plazas and rest areas, according to the Thruway Authority.

The president is scheduled to land in Buffalo 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning and speak at 11:15 a.m. at the University at Buffalo before proceeding east by bus to Syracuse along the Thruway.

He speaks in Binghamton and Scranton, Pa. on Friday.
