Amherst police are searching for the man who robbed a Williamsville bank Tuesday morning.

The robbery occurred at about 10 a.m. at the Key Bank at 5200 Main St. near South Forest Road.

The robber handed a teller a note demanding money and stating that he had a gun, police said. He fled with an undetermined amount of money and was last seen fleeing to the north of the bank.

The robber was approximately 40 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call town police at 689-1360.
