Bills camp capsule: Gilmore’s foot OK

Tuesday: Day 17 of 18.

Gilmore OK after scare: Cornerback Stephon Gilmore left practice to have his right foot looked at by head trainer Bud Carpenter. He watched the rest of practice from the sideline, but coach Doug Marrone said afterward that Gilmore was fine and only needed to be re-taped.

Ross excused: Defensive tackle Jay Ross was dressed for practice but excused at the last second. Marrone was happy to report that Ross’ wife was having a baby.

Tempers flare: After a completion to Brandon Kaufman, cornerback Jumal Rolle got over-aggressive in trying to rip the ball out after the play was whistled dead. Kaufman replied with a shove, then Rolle ripped his helmet off and gave a violent shove back before teammates intervened.

Schedule: 2 to 5 p.m. today. The team then breaks camp.
