The Buffalo Niagara Partnership named its 2013 Athena Leadership Award finalists: Mary Ann Coulson, Morgan Stanley; Lynne Marie Finn, Superior Workforce Solutions; Katherine Lucas, Guerrilla Video Solutions; Richanne Mankey, Daemen College; Myrna Young, Everywoman Opportunity Center; Olivia Belter, Univera Healthcare; Candace M. Cooke, General Motors Powertrain Tonawanda; Anne E. Joynt, Lipsitz & Ponterio; Britney McClain, Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo; and Bridget M. O’Connell, Child & Family Services. The awards luncheon will be Nov. 8 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.


Bergmann Associates, an engineering and architectural design, named Bryce Hammerton a design engineer in its Buffalo office. Hammerton is a Syracuse University graduate.


FB Displays & Designs appointed John Leberman marketing coordinator and Madhushree Gnanasambandan office administrator. Leberman has eight years of experience in marketing communications, including functions in sales, customer service and as a trade show coordinator. Gnanasambandan is attending the University at Buffalo School of Management.

The University at Buffalo’s Research Institute on Addictions was recently awarded more than $6 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health, to fund five innovative studies that will expand knowledge on societal ramifications of drug and alcohol use.


AT&T has expanded its 4G LTE network to new areas of Niagara and northern Erie counties.


Tecmotiv USA, Niagara Falls, was awarded a $115,869 federal contract for power transmission equipment from the Defense Logistics Agency Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich.


Junior Achievement of WNY received a $5,000 grant from State Farm’s Good Neighbor Citizenship Grant program. The grant allowed Junior Achievement to deliver programs to 150 high school students in Western New York during the 2012-13 school year.
