Grajek family gives museum 1973 Wurlitzer jukebox

NORTH TONAWANDA – The family of Stanley A. Grajek donated the newest Wurlitzer jukebox to join the collection of the North Tonawanda History Museum.

Grajek worked for the North Tonawanda Wurlitzer plant for 20 years, and the family made the donation in his memory.

The Wurlitzer Model 3700 Americana Jukebox was manufactured in 1973 at the North Tonawanda plant and was a staple of restaurants, taverns and bowling centers.

Advisory Committee member George Trautman will be in charge of getting the jukebox up and working at the museum, which houses jukeboxes from the 1950s and 1960s, as well.

The North Tonawanda History Museum expressed gratitude to Michael A. Grajek, of Raleigh, N.C., for facilitating the donation and to Trautman for covering the moving expenses.
