Paving replacement work on Steelawana and Lincoln avenues in Lackawanna will begin this week and take about a month.
E & R General Construction Inc. submitted a bid of $324,656 and beat out five other firms for the work.
The City Council approved the bid from the West Seneca company last Monday, upon the recommendation of TVGA Consultants.
Excavation is expected to start on Tuesday.

• The city Planning Board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in City Hall to consider a site plan review for a proposed addition to a property at 168 Roland Avenue. The plan was submitted by the Global Concepts Charter School.
• The Lackawanna City School District Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in a work session in the Superintendent’s Conference Room 202, 245 South Shore Boulevard. The board’s regular monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium of Lackawanna High School, 550 Martin Road.
