The Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc. has partnered with Bills running back Tashard Choice to present “Buffalo’s Kick-Off Dinner,” a fundraiser to benefit CAO Sports P.L.U.S program. The event will be held 6:30-10 p.m. Aug. 25 at Templeton Landing Restaurant on Buffalo’s waterfront.

Current Bills C.J. Spiller and Brad Smith and Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas will attend. The evening will include a three-course dinner, sports memorabilia raffles and an auction.

Proceeds will go to The Choice is Yours Foundation and its partnership with CAO Sports P.L.U.S. initiative, a recreation and sports training program for the athletically talented and disadvantaged youth in Buffalo.

The foundation has helped send the United Youth Football League team to the national Tournament in Florida. Sports P.L.U.S. offers basketball, track and field and wrestling in various schools.

Tickets for the dinner are $100 each a corporate table is $1,000. To make a reservation, contact CAO at 881-5150 ext. 4402.


BASEBALL: The Titans will hold tryouts for their 15U team today, 10U and 11U teams Saturday, 12U team Monday through Wednesday and 13U team Monday and Tuesday.
