LOCKPORT – A Porter man, who was on probation for felony driving while intoxicated when he was arrested on the same charge last fall, accepted a plea deal Tuesday in Niagara County Court.
County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III agreed to sentence Jesse S. Taylor, 36, of Lower River Road, concurrently for a new felony DWI count and for violating probation on his 2009 conviction. That means a maximum of four years in prison, not eight, for Taylor when he is sentenced Oct. 15. He is being held in lieu of $6,000 bail in the meantime.
Deputy District Attorney Theodore A. Brenner said Taylor was arrested after failing to signal a turn at Third and Oak streets in Youngstown at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 9.
