Troopers find unusual weapon on DWI suspect

State police at Clarence made an unusual arrest over the weekend, charging a Cheektowaga woman with driving while intoxicated and confiscating a set of hot pink metal knuckles, according to police reports.

A trooper stopped a vehicle on Main Street in the Town of Clarence at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, after spotting the driver using a cell phone.

Samra Skopljak, 25, of Theresa Drive, was charged with DWI, and a breath test later revealed a blood-alcohol level of 0.16 percent, twice the legal limit, officials reported.

Besides DWI, Skopljak also was charged with weapons possession and driving while using a mobile phone, police said.
